Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced B2B inside sales professional to support our growth in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The position is office-based from either our Marshfield, WI, Jerome, ID, or Amarillo, TX locations, with hybrid work options.

This Inside Core Account Manager collaborates with field sales to perform hunting and farming of assigned core accounts in a geography anchored by our corporate headquarters and main distribution center in Marshfield, WI. As a member of the Core Accounts Team, you will join a fast-paced, competitive and entrepreneurial selling environment where revenue growth is rewarded and earning potential is unlimited.

Responsibilities:

  • Team management, with designated Outside Core Account Manager(s), of assigned account rosters in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
  • Ensure delivery of best-in-class service and experience to assigned customers and relentlessly defend existing business.
  • Proactively uncover opportunities to supply additional products, services and value that increase customer spend.
  • Maintain purposeful, regular touches with key contacts at assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain exceptional consultative relationships with customers.
  • Quarterback transactional and administrative duties and support for assigned accounts.
  • Utilize robust reporting and CRM tools to uncover profitable growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ability to close sales and overcome customer objections.
  • Engage internal technical resources to provide complex product solutions to customers.
  • Quarterly travel for customer visits, corporate activities, and industry events in territory.
  • Represent Nelson-Jameson’s values and principles.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of B2B inside sales experience
  • Passion for inside sales
  • Proven territory farming and account development skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to accept coaching
  • Proficient with ERP, CRM, Microsoft Office and basic computer knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of inside sales experience in industrial supply or wholesale distribution with a record of success and achievements
  • 2 years of experience as a primary account manager with a record of success and achievements
  • Previous experience with any of the following industrial product lines:
    • Laboratory instruments, Quality Assurance(QA), and Quality Control (QC)
    • Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO)
    • Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Sanitation and Janitorial products
    • Production and Material Handling products
    • Sanitary Process and Flow Control Systems
    • Industrial or Food Grade Packaging
    • Food Ingredients
  • A strong team player who can work closely with internal assets to provide optimized customer solutions
  • Experience using ERP software for order entry, inventory/transaction management, and CRM functions
  • Excellent phone presence
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
